Product name: titanium foil
Material: Commercial pure titanium and titanium alloy
Density: 4.51g/m³
MOQ: 1KG
Product status:heating processing, cold processing
Products Description
The Titanium Grade 5 Ti6Al4V Foil is an extremely thin titanium product, usually less than 0.1 mm (100 microns) thick, and the thinnest can reach 0.01 mm (10 microns). It is made of pure titanium or titanium alloy (such as Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 5) through precision rolling or cold working, and has excellent flexibility, corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity and biocompatibility.
Features
Extremely thin and light
The thickness of our products can be as low as 0.01 mm, which is much thinner than general metal materials and has excellent flexibility and plasticity. Its low density (about 4.51 g/cm³) gives the product a lightweight advantage, making it easy to process into complex shapes and not easy to break, suitable for precision manufacturing and multi-layer composite applications.
Excellent corrosion resistance
Although the thickness of the naturally generated oxide film on the surface of our products is only a few nanometers, it is extremely dense and stable, and can effectively block erosion by various corrosive media, especially in acidic and alkaline environments and seawater. The corrosion rate is less than 0.1 mm/year.
High thermal conductivity
The Titanium Grade 5 Ti6Al4V Foil have good thermal conductivity, with a thermal conductivity of about 21.9 W/(m·K), which is much better than some stainless steel materials and can be effectively used in heat dissipation and heat exchange equipment. At the same time, its conductive performance is stable, suitable for use as a key material in lithium battery collectors and electrolytic equipment.

Special
Titanium Foil Ti 15V-3Al-3Cr-3Sn cold rolled (Titanfolie Ti15-3-3-3)
Instead of forcing Grade 5 to be cold rolled - switch to Ti 15-3-3-3 showing very similar mechanical properties. AMS 4914 is a possible specification to be used.
These products have been used typically in applications requiring high strength-to-weight ratio and stability up to 550 °F (288 °C), but usage is not limited to such applications. Parts are typically formed in the solution heat treated condition and subsequently precipitation heat treated to final condition.
Titanium Alloy Grade 5 Foil Ti6Al4V ELi cold rolled (Titanfolie Grade 5)
Have you ever been seeking Titanium Grade 5 Ti6Al4V Foil? Cold rolled below 0.38 mm? As a flat sheet or a 3 m long strip? Up to 300 mm width? Now you can order such foils! From Ylasting. On Picture is shown a flat sheet in 0.025 mm. We do however offer down to 0.025 mm!
Hot Processing Ti Grade 5 / Ti6Al4V
Titanium Alloy is hot rolled from Plates to Sheets. Thinnest Titanium Sheet hot rolled available is about 0.4 mm of thickness. Sheets are cross rolled. Anything below 0.4 mm must be cold rolled.
Application
Aerospace thermal insulation and structural parts
The Titanium Foil has excellent high temperature stability and lightweight properties. It is often used in engine insulation layers, thermal protection structures, precision connection parts and other parts in the aerospace field.
Medical and biomaterials
High-purity titanium foil (such as Grade 1/Grade 2) has excellent biological inertness and non-magnetic properties, and is widely used in surgical instrument coatings, implant shielding sheets, vascular stent linings, etc.
Lithium batteries and fuel cells
Titanium Grade 5 Ti6Al4V Foil is often used as a current collector material, electrode support or shell structure in lithium batteries and fuel cells. It has stable electrical conductivity, strong corrosion resistance, and is not easily dissolved in acidic electrolytes, which effectively extends battery life and improves electrochemical efficiency.
Chemical electrodes and electrolysis systems
In electroplating, electrolysis, water treatment and other industries, titanium foil can be used as a substrate for coated electrodes. Its surface can be sprayed with precious metals such as iridium, platinum, and ruthenium to improve conductivity and catalytic efficiency, while maintaining the corrosion resistance of the titanium substrate, and its service life is much longer than that of copper or nickel-based electrodes.
