Titanium welding wire is a "consumable" welding material. Its sole purpose of existence is to melt under heat during the welding process and become part of the weld seam.

Characteristics of titanium welding wire:

Precise component matching: The alloy composition of the welding wire must closely match or be compatible with the base material to ensure that the weld has similar mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and microstructure as the base material. For example, when welding Gr5 (Ti6Al4V) plates, Gr5 welding wire must be used.

Extremely high purity: The control requirements for impurity elements (such as oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, and carbon) are more stringent than those for ordinary titanium wires. Any contamination will cause pores, cracks, or embrittlement in the weld seam.

Perfect surface quality: The surface must be absolutely clean, free of oxide scales, grease, moisture and any contaminants. It is usually subjected to acid washing, polishing, and then vacuum-sealed and packaged in a pollution-free environment.

Excellent process performance: During welding, the welding wire must be able to melt stably, make a smooth transition, produce minimal spatter, and form a beautiful weld seam.

Applications:

Titanium welding wire is the core key material for the manufacturing, repair and additive manufacturing of all titanium structures. Whenever "connecting titanium metals" is involved, it is almost always used.

Chemical Engineering and Marine Engineering:

Manufacturing titanium pressure vessels, reaction tanks, heat exchangers, and pipeline systems. This is one of the largest application areas for titanium welding wires. By leveraging titanium's outstanding corrosion resistance, it can cope with harsh chemical media and seawater.

Aerospace:

Welding the aircraft fuselage structure, engine casings, fuel pipelines, rocket engine components, etc. Striving for the perfect combination of lightweight and high reliability.
