Description
Titanium round bar is a high-performance titanium metal base profile. Its exceptional strength, light weight, corrosion resistance, and biocompatibility make it an indispensable key material in high-tech fields such as aerospace, chemical engineering, and medicine. It can be used as a raw material or directly machined (such as turning, milling, and grinding) into various important components.

Titanium round bar do not have only one component. According to the different elements added, they can be divided into:
Industrially pure titanium: such as GR1 GR2 GR3 etc. The larger the number, the higher the impurity content, slightly higher strength, and slightly lower plasticity. Its characteristics are good corrosion resistance, moderate strength, excellent plasticity, and easy processing and forming.
  
Titanium alloys: Elements such as aluminum, vanadium, and molybdenum are added to enhance specific properties.
 
Ti-6Al-4V (GR5 ): Ti-6Al-4V ELI (GR23 )The most classic and widely used titanium alloy. It combines high strength with good toughness and weldability. It accounts for over half of all titanium alloys used.
 
Other alloys, such as Ti-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-2Mo (high-temperature alloy) and Ti-5Al-2.5Sn, are used to meet more specialized performance requirements.
  
Titanium rods are widely used because titanium metal itself has a series of excellent comprehensive properties:
  
1:High strength and low density (light):Titanium's strength is comparable to many steels, but its density (approximately 4.51 g/cm³) is only about 60% of that of steel. This means that titanium bars are the perfect choice for applications where weight reduction is crucial, such as aerospace, achieving a "light yet strong" balance.
2:Excellent corrosion resistance: Titanium forms a dense, stable oxide film on its surface, making it highly resistant to the atmosphere, seawater, chlorine (chlorides), and various acids and alkalis. Its corrosion resistance far exceeds that of stainless steel, making it particularly suitable for harsh environments such as chemical and marine engineering.
3:Good biocompatibility: Titanium is non-toxic, harmless, and non-sensitizing to human tissue, and is not corroded by body fluids. This makes it the material of choice for medical implants such as artificial joints, bone screws, and dental implants.
4:Heat resistance: Some titanium alloys (such as Ti-6Al-4V) can maintain good strength at higher temperatures (about 400-500°C).
5:Non-magnetic: Titanium is a non-magnetic metal, which is crucial in medical (MRI magnetic resonance environment) and certain high-precision electronic fields.
